"True success in dance goes beyond technique; it comes from self awareness, self love, and expressing that honestly. That’s the discipline dance taught her."
Shalini Srikanth began her journey in dance at a young age at Padmavathi Kalanikethan, nurturing a passion that would shape her life. Under the guidance of renowned gurus Kiran Subramanyam and Sandhya Kiran, she built a strong classical foundation that pushed her beyond performance into deeper inquiry. Her pursuit of meaning led her to master Bharatanatyam academically, completing her Master’s and expanding her artistic voice across stages in India and abroad.
A national scholarship holder and a graded artist of Doordarshan, Shalini realized that true artistry lies not just in technique, but in authenticity. This belief inspired her to found Pranava Nrithyalaya—a space dedicated to nurturing talent, empowering individuality, and shaping the next generation of dancers.
A member of the International Dance Council and Vice President of Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Karnataka Culture & Heritage Council), Shalini extends her influence beyond the stage.
An architect by profession, she seamlessly bridges art and structure—using dance as a living blueprint where tradition, identity, and expression come together with purpose and power.
